F. Scott Fitzgerald is a well-known American author in the 1920s with novels like The Beautiful and the Damned, The Great Gatsby, and Tender is the Night.
The 1920’s ‘Golden Age’ is interpreted with its artistic and high class lifestyle on the printed classics. I created the delicate typography to be included on the book covers.
Early inspiration is heavily influenced from the ‘Roaring 20s’ and American Illustrator, J.C. Leyendecker. I illustrated each book cover to show the emotion of characters for readers to anticipate. These were accompanied with hand-embossed gold leaf inlays inspired by the iconic gold period and Art Deco.
